Children are an integral part of society and represent the future of our nation. Ensuring every child receives a safe, healthy, and quality environment is essential for building a strong and progressive society. The Government has enacted various laws and policies to safeguard the rights, welfare, and overall development of children.
The Gujarat State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (GSCPCR) was constituted in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC–1989), accepted by the Government of India. In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 17 of the Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005, the Government of Gujarat established the Commission through Notification dated 28 September 2012 to ensure the protection, promotion, and realization of child rights across the State.
